French Lotto

The French lotto is the France National Lottery game, one of the best gambling products in the country. It is run and managed by Française des Jeux (FDJ) which means “The French Company of Games”. The lottery is a highly competitive game, very similar to the UK49 Lunchtime with 10 prize categories and a jackpot from EUR2 million.

How to Play French Lotto?

To play France Lotto, you need to choose 5 numbers from the main pool of 1 to 49 and a Bonus number from the bonus pool of 1 to 10. You can make it easier by choosing the Quick+1 option.

If you match all five winning numbers plus the bonus number, you win the jackpot. Each grid costs 2.20 euros and the minimum jackpot is €2 million. The jackpot rises by 1 million euros if it is not claimed on the day of the draw.

French Lotto provides excellent winning chances (with a 1 in 16 chance of winning any prize).

You can also select the second draw option for an extra €0.80. With the exception of the bonus number, you can try your luck once again with the same five numbers from the grid.

You can choose between 2 grid types for each game by playing at an FDJ® retailer, online at fdj.fr website, or the FDJ® app, or via betting platforms such as Lottoland.

Simple grid: on a €2.20 grid, you select 5 numbers and 1 lucky number. You choose more numbers and/or more “lucky” numbers when using a multiple grid. The number of numbers selected affects how much multiple grid costs.

By repeating your five numbers, you can check the “2nd draw” game option, raising your odds of winning to nearly one in four for a jackpot worth at least €100,000(1l) to be split.

How to Win French Lotto?

To win the French Lotto’s grand prize, you need to properly predict all 6 numbers (5 + 1) that will be drawn. Five numbers will be picked from a pool of numbers ranging from 1 – 49. A bonus number is chosen from a separate pool, ranging from 1 to 10.

There are nine prize categories, so the more matching numbers you have, the more you could win. To win any cash reward in the France Lotto, a player must match a minimum of two major numbers.

The odds of winning the jackpot (5 + 1 numbers) are 1 in 19,068,840. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 6.

How to Withdraw your French Lotto Winnings

You can withdraw your French Lotto winnings whilst in South Africa by simply logging into your account and withdrawing your prize if your account has been verified, if not, you must first present your ID and proof of address. Once you receive confirmation, you will be able to withdraw your funds.

If you are in South Africa, your payout will be equivalent to the Euro exchange rate at the time of the payout.
